Particles in the Americas (PitA) postponed
|
| [Sequoia, July 14, 2009] |
Sequoia Scientific, Inc. announces that the number of respondents to the call for abstracts for Particles in the Americas (PitA) has been very low. Many people have indicated to us that they find the topic very interesting and that they would like to attend, but that due to the current financial situation they have very limited or no travel allowances for the current year.
Since it is now more than a month past the deadline for abstract submission, and as nobody can be interested in travelling to and attending a meeting with significantly fewer participants than originally expected, Sequoia has decided to call off the meeting, to be reconvened in a stronger economic environment some time later.
However, Sequoia still intends to organize a meeting in Europe in the fall of 2010, as a follow up to the highly successful PiE meeting in Bologna in October 2008. |
