Workshop in New Delhi Establishes Interagency Sediment Technology Committee for South Asia
August 26, 2005: At a workshop attended by high
officials of the Governments of India, and with high level
representation from Nepal and Bhutan, a Committee was established to
promote adoption of sediment technologies in South Asia.
The South Asia Interagency Sediment Technologies Committee (SAISTC) has
as its objective to develop standards for sediment sensors used in the
power industry and in monitoring the environment in South Asia. For a
