Hyper-Spectral Absorption Instrument

In-situ absorption meter based on the integrating sphere principle.

The Hyper-a is designed for precision, in-situ bulk absorption measurements of dissolved and suspended material in water. A removeable ND filter in the cavity wall can be used to track instrument drift, eliminating the need for sending the instrument back for factory calibration. The instrument logs all data internally and is externally powered. Optional submersible battery packs available.

Can I rent the Hyper-a?

Sequoia does not have a Hyper-a rental unit available.

What light sources does the Hyper-a use?

We use a Xenon arc lamp as the light source. This provides broadband coverage through the UV and VIS ranges with a single source.
